The Little Silver Historical Society was formed in 1973 in order to raise funds to move the Post Office building from its original location on Church Street to its current location next to the Library to make room for the Cheshire Square development. Great strides were made; the building was relocated, renovations made and a museum was created within from the generous donations from the Borough and townspeople!
Today, the Little Silver Historical Society opens the Post Office Museum on the first Saturday of every month from 10:00am to 1:00pm, free of charge.
The Little Silver Historical Society is always looking for new members. If interested, please contact Dave Griffiths, Borough Historian, at 732-741-3137.
