 COMMITMENT

Little Silver Rec firmly believes that together with your support, our sports program can develop in your child the life skill of commitment.  Please teach your child to support their teammates and coaches by honoring their commitment to play all games and practices for the entire season.

 COACHES ALWAYS NEEDED

The success of our rec programs relies entirely upon our volunteer coaches. Coaching clinics are offered to assist new coaches.  Please consider being part of your child's development by signing up online to coach or assist  using the same registration process as your child only clicking on adult rather than child.

 LACROSSE

LS Rec Lacrosse has developed into one of the most successful lacrosse rec programs in Monmouth County with the older teams, grades 3-8, competing in the Coastal  Lacrosse League which includes teams from Monmouth and northern Ocean counties. Groupings for both boys and girls: Kindergarten –2nd clinic, grades 3 & 4, 5 & 6, 7 & 8.

 LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL & SOFTBALL

Little Silver is a member of the Two River Little League (TRLL) and has achieved  outstanding success winning several TRLL championships including the 11 & 12 year old softball crown in a hard fought game between two LS teams.  Other member towns of TRLL are Shrewsbury, Red Bank, Fair Haven and Rumson. Kindergarten T Ball Clinic is a coed program on Saturday mornings beginning April 16.

 SOFTBALL

Little League softball age divisions are determined by the birthday cutoff of Dec. 31 of 2015  and whatever age your girl is on that date, that is the age division your girl should register for. For age divisions 9&10 and 11&12, if a girl's birthday puts them in a division that does not include their classmates, a player may opt to play up or down with the permission of the Rec Director. Girls ages 13-16 must play in this age group only.

For more information contact Softball Coordinator Kelly Senkeleski
KSenkeleski@gmail.com or 732-687-4929

BASEBALL

Little League baseball age divisions are determined by the birthday cutoff which is changing and being phased in over the next 3 years. For ages 10 and older the cutoff date remains as April 30, 2016  and whatever age your son is on that date, that is the age division your son should register for. For 9 year olds the age determination cutoff date changes to August 31, 2016. See dates below for age divisions or use Little League's online age calculator at
http://www.littleleague.org/leagueofficers/determine_league_age/league_age_calculator.htm

Exceptions to play up or down are not based upon skill level but may  be granted with the permission of the Rec Director to allow a boy to play with his classmates. Bat sizes and models are strictly controlled by LL International and only LL approved bats are allowed.
