Recycling Drop-Off Center

The Recycling Center is located next to the Borough Garage on Fairview Avenue. Hours of operation:

Monday through Friday 8:00am to 2:00pm Saturday 8:00am to 12:00 noon

Recycling Figures for 2009:

536 tons of brush
1,773 tons of leaves
1,056 tons of bottles/cans/plastics/paper/newspaper/cardboard

Streets and Roads Information:

6500 residents
55 miles of roads to maintain
110 roads to sweep
potholes
street signs
approximately 400-500 roads of catch basins and fall outs to maintain and clean biannually
animal removal/clean up
trimming and removal of roadway trees
salt and snow plowing of all 55 miles of roads

Parks:

Approximately 15 acres of property to maintain to include: grass cutting, mulch, fertilizer, bushes and shrubs, irrigation and garbage removal.
The maintenance of 6 athletic fields.

Mechanical:

Maintenance and service of approximately 120 Boro vehicles to include heavy equipment, pick-up trucks, police cars, emergency vehicles and lawn equipment.
