 MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE

LITTLE SILVER BOROUGH COUNCIL

June 14, 2006

 

The meeting was called to order and the Statement of Compliance with the Open Public Meetings Act given by Mayor Castleman at 7:55 P.M.

 

"Adequate notice of this meeting has been provided by the mailing of a notice to the Asbury Park Press and The Two River Times, by filing same with the Clerk of the Borough of Little Silver and by prominently posting said notice on the bulletin board of the Borough Hall, all since

May 18, 2006."

 

The salute to the flag was led by Mr. Galante and followed by a moment of silence, during which Mayor Castleman asked for thoughts for the family of Nick Hubbard, whose brother passed away and long-time resident Harry Nielson who passed away.

COUNTY OF MONMOUTH, STATE OF NEW JERSEY

TO AMEND APROVED BUDGET

IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF 40A:4-9

 

WHEREAS, the local municipal budget for 2006 was approved on May 17, 2006; and

 

WHEREAS, the public hearing on said budget will be held on June 14, 2006, as advertised; and

 

WHEREAS, the governing body desires to amend said approved budget, and

 

WHEREAS, a public hearing on said amendment will also be held on June 14, 2006;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Governing Body of the Borough of Little Silver, County of Monmouth that the following amendments to the approved budget of 2006 be made:

BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Little Silver, County of Monmouth, that the Budget hereinbefore set forth is hereby adopted and shall constitute an appropriation for the purposes stated and the sums therein set forth as appropriations and authorization of the amount of $5,602,015.00 as the amount to be raised by taxation.

WHEREAS, the 2006 Salary Ordinance adopted on June 14, 2006 fixed the salaries and compensations for certain titles and positions of the officers and employees of the Borough of Little Silver:
