Functions of Parks and Recreation Committee
The Committee is responsible for planning, promoting, organizing and administering a recreational program within the Borough in the interests of the entire community. The committee can make recommendations to the Mayor and Council regarding the advisability of the acquisition of additional park and recreations lands and the formulation of plans for improvements to the public parks and playgrounds. They are also responsible for formulating rules and regulations for the public use of all parks and playgrounds, as well as their care and maintenance.
